Projects
As a state council, we support many philanthropic organizations including:
St Jude Children's Research Hospital
More than 45 years ago, St. Jude founder Danny Thomas reached out to the members of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International, asking them to support his dream that "no child should die in the dawn of life".
Since 1972, Epsilon Sigma Alpha members across the world have raised more than $245 million in cash and pledges for the kids of St. Jude.
Easterseals
ESA members have supported Easterseals since our partnership began in 1984. Over the past 35 years, ESA members have helped raise more than $5.9 million dollars.
Epsilon Sigma Alpha International is the premier sponsor of Easterseals’ CAMP HOPE initiative - a program designed to provide a week-long camping experience for the children of service members and support to families learning to live with a service member facing newly acquired disabilities.
Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation
The ESA Michigan State Council selected The Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation as our service project for 2018-2019. The foundation supports pediatric research, education, community benefit programs, and other initiatives that improve the health of children in Michigan.
In addition to fundraising efforts, our members participated in the 2018 Festival of Trees by decorating Christmas trees and volunteering at the event.
EPSILON SIGMA ALPHA FOUNDATION
The ESA Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of continuing education and to altruistic activities that make a positive difference in the world community. Voluntary contributions of time and money from ESA members, ESA Foundation members, and friends of the Foundation are the ESA Foundation’s sole sources of support.
The ESA Michigan State Council supports several scholarship endowments through the ESA Foundation.
